Commercial cleaning quality is highly dependent on the clarity of the scope and the consistency of staffing. Offices, retail sites, healthcare environments and industrial facilities can have very different requirements, so proposals should be based on the actual site rather than a generic package.
Create a room-by-room scope
List areas, frequency, floor types, washrooms, kitchens, waste handling and periodic deep-clean tasks. Define what happens inside standard service and what is billed separately.
Ask how staff are recruited and supervised
Understand screening, training, attendance cover, uniforms or identification and on-site supervision. Consistency matters more than the promise of a large workforce.
Review products, equipment and safety
Confirm responsibility for consumables, cleaning chemicals, equipment and safety data. Specialist environments may require specific infection-control or hazardous-material procedures.
Define quality control
Ask how inspections, complaints and corrective actions are recorded. Agree a contact for operational issues and a reasonable response time.
Compare contracts beyond hourly price
Review minimum term, cancellation notice, annual increases, insurance and liability. A clear scope makes pricing comparisons much more meaningful.
